Last week a fellow blogger, Kate from A Kreative Whim, posted something about the 100 Days of Happiness Challenge and I was intrigued. The goal is to find something every day for 100 days that brings you happiness. Each day you take a picture of at least one thing that made you happy and post it to social media.
My motivation for starting this challenge is my 3 boys and my husband. I find myself being crabby and stressed out all the time because my husband works a lot, so I’m usually alone with 3 boys and it can start to wear on me. I want to make sure that our boys see me happy more often than stressed out and irritable. I want to be able to show my husband how happy I am that he’s home rather than snap at the first thing that he says because I’m tired, and annoyed. I’m always happy when he comes home, but I’m not always the best at showing it because it’s usually late and I’m both physically and emotionally drained at that point. I want to change that. My goal is to focus on the happiness and not the negative each day.
I challenge each of you to 100 days of happiness with me! Every day I’m going to post a picture of something that made me happy on Facebook with #100happydays and #MessyLittleNest100happydays. You can like my Facebook page here so that you’re able to follow me on my journey and vise versa. I’m challenging each of you to do the same, take a picture of your happiness for the day and post it to my Facebook Page with the same hashtags. This way we can all keep each other accountable.
Every Monday I’m going to make a compilation post of everything that made me happy that week. I’m also going to try to pay attention to any changes that I see in my children, husband and life in general from doing this. I really hope that you all join me on this journey because I think that no matter how happy you currently are, there’s always room for more happiness!
