My family tries to do our best to recycle as much as we can, however, we love our Keurig and use it at least once a day, if not more often. Needless to say, we go through a ton of K-cups! I discovered a way that we can finally do our part to help save the earth with our K-cups… it’s called Wakey Wakey Morning Coffee Pods For Keurig in Recyclable K Cups.
My husband and I both tried the coffee this morning, because we’re parents of 3 boys and we need coffee every morning! He likes to drink his black and I prefer mine with flavored cream. He said that he liked the flavor of the coffee, it was bold enough for him. He said “I mean it doesn’t knock my socks off or anything but it’s not bad at all, I’d drink it again.” I agree with him, the coffee is good. It was a little bit too strong for me black, but I don’t typically like it that way. Once I put my flavored cream into it, it was perfect.
We both like the fact that you can recycle the K-cup itself, typically they’re not recyclable. All you have to do is peel the aluminum off the top of the K-cup, dump the grounds either into your compost bucket or garbage, then place the K-cup into the recycle bin. It is 100% recyclable and made in the USA which is another huge PLUS. They’re also compatible in all Keurig Brewing Machines including the new 2.0.
If you’re ready to do your part to save the earth with your K-cups you can order either a 3 pack or 12 pack here.
